Using Dialogue to Lead the Healthcare Team
Its All About You: A Blueprint for Influencing Practice states that understanding the values and ideas of others through dialogue is an essential component of leadership. Four strategies that enhance dialogue are suspension of judgment, identification of assumptions, listening, and inquiry and reflection. Reflect on a time of actual or potential conflict in your practice. How did you use these skills to influence others? How could you have improved on these skills? This paper should be two pages, with at least one scholarly reference outside of your assigned readings. Please refer to the rubric for specific guidelines.
